Job summary

Crest Nicholson is seeking a Management Accountant to join our Midlands team based in the Tamworth Office. You will maintain the general ledger, support forecasting and budgeting, and prepare monthly management packs and the Board pack.

The role requires (or welcomes) ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications or Part/ Newly Qualified status, with experience in the construction sector preferred. A proactive, detail‑focused communicator who can liaise with multiple departments will excel in this fast‑paced

Qualifications

• Coins experience would be advantageous.
• Professional qualifications: Part or Newly Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Experience in the construction industry is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to learn quickly with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Understanding of legal property/conveyancing terminology is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and MIS database to support reporting and forecasting.
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
• Assist in the production of monthly Board Pack and Management Pack.
• Support half year and full year end statutory and tax packs.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Attend cost review meetings and maintain forecasts with variance analysis.
• Monthly calculation of sales executive commissions and bonuses.
• Prepare and reconcile journals for plots completing in the month.
• Review accruals/prepayments with audit evidence and assist month-end close.
