Job summary

SelectStaff Recruitment seeks an ACA-qualified Management Accountant to join a well-established organization in an office-based role. You will consolidate and analyse financial data, prepare reports, and provide strategic insights to support the Group Financial Controller.

Responsibilities include managing monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and statutory accounts, with close attention to GL control and intercompany reporting.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting role with management accounting experience.
• Well organised and flexible.
• Experience overseeing financial control and reporting activities.
• ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW qualification preferred.
• Strong analytical, budgeting and forecasting skills; Excel proficiency; COINS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, statutory accounts, budgets and cashflow forecasts.
• Conduct site cost analysis and provide cost-efficiency recommendations.
• Review and reconcile nominal ledger and control accounts regularly.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure timely payments and reconciliations.
• Assist with supplier queries and supplier account reconciliations.
• Generate reports for management and joint venture partners (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow).
• Prepare statutory accounts for all group operating companies.
• Compute corporation tax and liaise with auditors and external tax accountants.
• Prepare annual group overhead budgets and analyse variances.
