Job summary
GRS is seeking a proactive Management Accountant to support the Trading and Stone units in a fast-paced environment, providing accurate management accounts and robust financial analysis.
The role emphasizes month-end processes, intercompany reconciliations, and collaboration with the wider Finance team to drive improvements and ensure timely reporting. Based in Nuneaton, with opportunities for growth and development.
Qualifications
- Team player with ability to build stakeholder relationships
- Strong time management with ability to prioritise tasks
- Detail-oriented with rigorous financial data handling
- Proactive, cross-functional problem-solving mindset
- Proficient in Excel, Jedox and AI tools
- ACCA/CIMA qualification in progress or willingness to pursue
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and reconcile postings on schedule
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and accruals/prepayments
- Produce final management accounts with variance analysis for review
- Collaborate with Finance to review reports and support audits
- Identify process improvements across finance using technology
- Coordinate data for interim and group audits, including data sets
- Maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations and report risks
- Liaise with onsite teams to resolve issues and understand operations
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks as required
