Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Portchester seeks a Management Accountant to produce timely management accounts, budgets and analyses to support decision making. The role ensures strong financial controls and adherence to company policy and accounting standards.

You will prepare monthly close, balance sheet reconciliations, and assist with statutory accounts and audits. Applicants should be qualified or part-qualified accountants with solid month-end experience in a finance role.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant with relevant experience.
• Experience in management accounting or similar finance role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes.
• Prepare and post journals, including accruals, prepayments and provisions.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded correctly.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed and SOX compliance is maintained.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
• Assist with statutory accounts and tax information as required.
• Recommend improvements to financial processes and controls.
