Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is partnering with a Hampshire-based technology and manufacturing group to recruit a Senior Management Accountant.

You will work closely with the Finance Director to deliver accurate monthly management accounts, drive improvements, and provide commercial insights to support performance.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with manufacturing/engineering/product environment experience.
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Solid VAT and statutory accounting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly management accounts preparation and delivery (P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, analysis).
• Ensure records are accurate and audit-ready throughout the year.
• Manage month-end processes, reconciliations, and financial controls.
• Prepare VAT returns and maintain VAT compliance.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations across the group.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Develop insightful management information and performance reporting.

What will the Senior Management Accountant role involve?

• Leading the preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting analysisEnsuring financial records are maintained accurately throughout the year and are audit-readyManaging month-end processes, ledger reconciliations and financial controlsPreparing and submitting VAT returns and maintaining VAT complianceManaging intercompany reconciliations across the groupAssisting with the budgeting and forecasting processDeveloping insightful management information and performance reporting

Suitable Candidate for the Senior Management Accountant vacancy:

• ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent fully qualified accountantPrevious experience within a manufacturing, engineering or product-based environment Strong management accounting and financial reporting experienceSolid understanding of VAT and statutory accounting requirementsStrong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insightExcellent communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
