Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Planning Specialist to join our Castore operation in Knowsley. The role focuses on coordinating transport bookings, managing carrier relationships, and ensuring smooth stock flow through the site.

Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00, with flexibility in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will collaborate with operational teams and third-party providers to meet site SLAs, maintain accurate planning, and support reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Proven track record within a logistics environment.
• Ability to work under tight timescales and manage multiple data sources.
• Strong literacy of computer systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business.
• Organised and proactive, able to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transport bookings and capacity with the shift management team.
• Liaise between warehouse, customer operations, and third-party providers.
• Support reporting, KPI tracking, and performance metrics for transport activities.
• Collaborate with carrier management to build accurate reporting on transport metrics.
• Ensure resources and planning documents are kept up to date and accurate.
