Job summary

GXO is seeking a Planning Specialist for the Castore operation in Knowsley. The role coordinates transport bookings, manages carrier relationships, and supports stock flow to ensure service levels while maintaining accurate planning and reporting.

This full-time position runs Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00 with flexibility. GXO University and benefits support professional development and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Proven track record within a logistics environment.
• Ability to work within tight timescales, effectively manage workload and data.
• Strong literacy of computer systems and the Microsoft package.

Responsibilities

• Operate within a face-paced working environment where task requirements can change rapidly.
• Reporting directly into the shift management team to confirm transport booking and capacity capability.
• Liaison between the warehouse and customer operations management teams, fostering collaborative working.
• Where possible, work with GXO carrier management to build reporting against key transport metrics.
• Managing priority shipments to ensure volume throughput aligns with site SLA requirements.
• Coordinate with third party courier businesses to ensure arrangements are made in time to meet customer promise.
• Plan resources with site operations to keep reporting documents up to date.
