Job summary

Bruin is seeking a Learning & Development Lead to join its HR team in London. The role blends strategic L&D leadership with HR Business Partnering to drive talent, leadership capability and organisational growth.

You will design learning strategies, support succession planning, and partner with executives to deliver impactful programmes across the employee lifecycle, while ensuring regulatory training and wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or Learning & Development role.
• Proven track record designing and implementing learning strategies.
• Experience within insurance, reinsurance, or financial services.
• Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and project management capabilities.
• Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
• Degree and/or CIPD Level 7 qualification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the organisation's Learning & Development strategy.
• Identify capability gaps and conduct training needs analysis.
• Design and deliver technical, professional and behavioural learning programmes.
• Manage onboarding and induction initiatives.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and ROI.
• Support professional qualifications and continuous development.
• Manage relationships with external learning providers.
• Ensure mandatory regulatory and compliance training requirements are met.
• Support succession planning and talent management initiatives.
• Develop leadership and management development programmes.
• Partner with managers on performance and career development.
• Coach leaders on employee growth and performance improvement.
• Drive internal mobility and career pathway initiatives.
• Provide expert HR advice to managers and employees.
• Support recruitment and selection activities.
• Manage employee relations matters.
• Contribute to HR policy development and process improvement.
• Analyse HR data and provide meaningful insights.
• Support employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
• Champion an inclusive and high-performing culture.
