Job summary

Enfield Council is seeking an experienced senior leader to become Head of Parks & Arboriculture, providing strategic direction across Parks Operations, Arboriculture, Parks Infrastructure and related services to keep Enfield's green spaces safe, accessible and well managed.

You will lead large teams, manage significant budgets, drive transformation and work with residents, partners and elected Members to deliver sustainable outdoor spaces that support biodiversity and climate goals.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large, diverse operational services.
• Strong people and performance management.
• Experience managing substantial budgets and resources.
• Experience in parks, green spaces, arboriculture, or related place-based services.
• Ability to operate in a complex political and stakeholder environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across Parks Operations, Arboriculture, Parks Infrastructure and associated services.
• Drive service performance, improvements and operational delivery within budgets.
• Build and maintain relationships with residents, community groups, Members and external partners; advise on parks and green infrastructure matters.
• Lead transformation and continuous improvement across the service area.
