Vision Redbridge Culture & Leisure seeks a Head of Operations to lead the Parks & Open Spaces service across Redbridge. You will drive strategic and operational delivery, manage staff and budgets, and ensure high standards across parks, grounds maintenance, allotments and related operations.

You will build collaborative partnerships, promote sustainability, and lead continuous improvement while ensuring financial sustainability and excellent resident services in a dynamic local government

Competenze

• High level horticultural and grounds maintenance knowledge.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams to deliver high-quality services.
• Excellent stakeholder management with influence at political and senior levels.
• Strong skills in strategic planning and decision making.

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of parks, open spaces and related services.
• Lead, manage and develop operational teams to foster a high-performing culture.
• Develop and implement service plans and improvement initiatives aligned with objectives.
• Oversee service budgets, financial planning and resource allocation for efficiency and value for money.
• Ensure services meet standards, contractual obligations and KPIs and address performance issues.
• Oversee contractors, suppliers, assets and maintenance programmes.
• Comply with health & safety legislation and organisational policies.
• Identify opportunities for income generation, efficiencies and growth.
• Build relationships with Redbridge Council, communities and stakeholders.
• Support environmental sustainability and biodiversity in parks.
