Job summary

The Blue Coat School in Basingstoke invites applications for Assistant Headteacher (Inclusion and SEND). This role leads the SEND and inclusion agenda, shaping whole-school strategy and safeguarding so that every student flourishes.

You will work within a committed Senior Leadership Team, driving high expectations and inclusive practices across all curriculums. We seek an experienced SEND leader with QTS and a track record of elevating outcomes for vulnerable learners, ready to influence

Qualifications

Experience leading SEND provisions and inclusion strategies.
Strong collaboration with families and external agencies.
Ability to drive whole-school improvement and culture of high expectations.

Responsibilities

Strategic leadership of SEND provision across the school.
Monitoring and evaluation of outcomes for SEND and disadvantaged pupils.
Leadership of inclusion, intervention and targeted support programmes.
Oversight of EHCP processes and statutory responsibilities.
Leading staff development in adaptive teaching and inclusive practice.
Working closely with pastoral leaders to remove barriers to learning.
Developing effective partnerships with families and external agencies.
Contribute to the strategic leadership, operational effectiveness and continuous improvement of the school as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Lead our inclusive vision and play a pivotal role in safeguarding, ensuring every child feels safe, valued and able to succeed, undertake Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead duties.
