Job summary

WildLand is seeking an experienced peatland restoration planner to lead and deliver restoration programmes across Sutherland and the Cairngorms, with on-site and office work. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, bringing a forward-thinking, solutions-focused mindset to conservation projects.

The role requires hands-on delivery, a can-do approach to problem solving, and comfort working with contractors and multi-agency partners to meet deadlines and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Applied practitioner in peatland restoration and planning.
• Experience working on multi-agency delivery and managing contractors.
• Proficient with mapping programmes and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and delivery of peatland restoration programmes.
• Coordinate site access, surveys and reviews to identify restoration opportunities.
• Commission surveys for peatland restoration projects and ensure compliance.
• Manage applications and bids for funding and prepare required reporting.
• Engage with procurement and tendering of restoration works with contractors and government bodies.
• Share knowledge and encourage learning across teams and with land managers.
