Job summary

Capgemini in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Project/Programme Manager to lead large IT and technology projects for public sector and other clients. You will drive end-to-end delivery, ensuring scope, quality, time and budget, while guiding multi-discipline teams in a matrix, multi-supplier context.

This role requires clear communication with senior stakeholders, agile practices, and proactive risk and RAID ownership. Hybrid working across offices, client sites, and home.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering IT/technology projects at a senior level, ideally in large, complex environments.
• End-to-end delivery across multi-supplier, matrix programmes.
• Strong understanding of agile delivery and programme lifecycle management.
• Excellent stakeholder management, including senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership of multi-discipline teams to high performance.
• Experience forecasting, budgeting and value delivery with change control.
• Proven commercial acumen including P&L accountability.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks with timely issue resolution.
• Robust project plans aligned to organisational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of large and complex IT/technology projects and programmes from initiation to end-to-end delivery.
• Provide strong leadership to multi-discipline and multi-supplier teams.
• Develop and maintain schedules, manage risks/dependencies and remove blockers.
• Build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment and delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency via agile practices.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and change control for programmes.
• Develop commercial proposals and work with various contract types.
• Provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders to support decision-making.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
• Foster a productive, inclusive and collaborative working environment.
