Job summary

HW Interim Solutions is supporting a well-established organisation in Birmingham to appoint an experienced IT Category Manager on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will own the IT category, drive cost optimisation, and deliver measurable savings.

Reporting to the Head of Indirect Procurement, you will lead category strategy, analyse spend and contracts, manage senior stakeholders and suppliers, and track benefits while supporting broader procurement improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT procurement/category management.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrable experience delivering cost savings.
• Confident managing senior stakeholders and suppliers.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, project led environment.
• Strong analytical and strategic procurement capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT category strategy, sourcing and supplier negotiations.
• Analyse spend, contracts and supplier arrangements to identify savings opportunities.
• Develop and deliver category plans and commercial improvement initiatives.
• Manage senior stakeholder and supplier relationships.
• Track and report savings and commercial benefits.
• Support wider procurement improvement projects.
