Job summary

Burman Recruitment is recruiting a senior Category Manager to own the IT & Technology procurement category in London, with a hybrid arrangement. You will drive category strategy, engage with senior IT stakeholders and lead major sourcing and contracting activities.

You will negotiate with large Tier 1 technology vendors, manage complex procurements and deliver cost savings while supporting large transformation initiatives. CIPS membership is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Significant senior-level procurement experience in IT/Technology.
• Proven ability to lead software, infrastructure and technology procurements.
• Experience negotiating with large Tier 1 technology vendors.
• Strong commercial and analytical capabilities.
• CIPS membership or equivalent is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop the IT & Technology category strategy.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
• Lead complex and high-value procurement exercises and commercial projects.
• Develop category strategies to achieve cost savings and efficiencies.
• Lead contract negotiations and advise on commercial/contract matters.
• Manage frameworks, preferred supplier lists and competitive exercises.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
• Support major transformation programmes with commercial strategies.
• Draft commercial aspects of contracts in line with requirements.
• Lead and develop procurement team members.
