Job summary
Southampton City Council is recruiting a Strategic Intelligence Analyst to join the Data & Intelligence Team on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2029, with potential extension. You will work across a broad range of services, using data, analysis and intelligence to inform decisions and support performance and needs assessments.
The role involves developing reporting capabilities, including Power BI, translating complex insights for diverse audiences, and contributing to data quality
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with experience delivering high-quality analysis from complex datasets.
- Ability to manage analytical projects from requirements through delivery.
- Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Work across council services to analyse data, identify trends and inform decisions.
- Create dashboards and performance reports using BI tools.
- Translate complex information into clear insights for varied audiences, including senior managers.
- Support improvement of data quality and use across the organisation.
