Job summary

Southwark Council is seeking an Intelligence & Impact Analyst on an initial temporary contract for 3-6 months, with a view to extension or permanent position for the right candidate. The role is based at SE1 2QH with hybrid working (2 days in the office).

You will lead analytical work, apply statistical methods to large datasets, create dashboards in Excel/Power BI, and provide high-quality outputs to inform performance reporting, transformation, and policy development.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of diverse analytical and statistical techniques.
• Experience analysing large datasets to inform planning and service delivery.
• Experience designing dashboards and reports linking data and impact for audiences.
• Experience developing data models, evaluation frameworks, and outcome measures.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical activity within the department using large datasets.
• Develop analytical approaches to support transformation, strategy development, and policy.
• Manage confidential data in line with governance principles.
• Deliver performance insights and dashboards using Excel/Power BI.
• Produce outputs (reports, dashboards, visuals) tailored to audiences to inform decisions.
• Undertake evaluations and needs assessments to measure effectiveness and value for money.
