Lawes Consulting Group is recruiting for a leading international insurance group into a Strategic Relationship Director role to manage a portfolio of affinity partners and ARs, driving growth while upholding governance and regulatory standards.

The position focuses on developing partnerships, advising executive and board-level contacts, and shaping strategy to deliver long-term value across a specialist division.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing strategic partnerships or major accounts in a regulated environment.
• Track record of delivering commercial growth, retention and long-term relationship success.
• Experience with Appointed Representatives, affinity schemes or delegated distribution models.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to identify and deliver opportunities.
• Confident engagement with executive and board-level stakeholders.
• Excellent relationship management, communication and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements, governance and risk management in insurance/financial services.
• Ability to balance commercial objectives with compliance and customer outcomes.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop strategic affinity partner and Appointed Representative relationships.
• Build strong relationships with executive and board-level stakeholders.
• Drive retention, revenue growth and profitability through strategic account planning and proposition development.
• Lead partnership reviews, governance meetings and performance discussions.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships, enhance propositions and introduce new products.
• Ensure partners operate within agreed governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor commercial performance, manage risk and implement continuous improvements.
• Support the onboarding and integration of new strategic partners.
• Represent the business at client meetings, industry events and networking opportunities.
• Contribute to divisional strategy and long-term business growth initiatives.
