Job summary

National Gas is seeking an Insights and Business Development Manager in London to lead the development of customer, stakeholder, competitor and market intelligence across the UK and Europe, shaping future infrastructure and commercial strategies with data-led analysis.

You will manage a team of three, drive opportunity identification, support regulatory submissions, and collaborate with strategy, regulation, commercial and technical teams to produce robust analyses and strategic recommendations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field or equivalent professional experience.
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and data visualisation skills including Power BI.
• Experience distilling complex problems into clear strategic messaging for senior leaders.
• Experience managing a team to deliver robust analyses and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of three and deliver customer, market, competitor and stakeholder insights UK and Europe.
• Provide high-quality analyses, models, and strategic recommendations to inform decision‑making.
• Own and manage the business development opportunity pipeline and prioritize new opportunities.
• Develop and lead programmes to assess commercial viability, economics, and customer demand for projects across all molecules.
• Support regulatory submissions, funding applications, and competitive bid processes with market intelligence.
