The Insight & Business Development (BD) Manager leads the development of customer, stakeholder, competitor, and market intelligence across the UK and Europe. The role ensures that National Gas has the knowledge and insight required to identify and develop opportunities, manage risks, and shape future infrastructure and commercial strategies.
The Insight & BD Manager also leads programmes of work designed to strengthen National Gas’ competitive position and maximise returns across all activities and molecules, both regulated and unregulated. This includes leading on portfolio management, supporting project development and improving business performance and productivity by embedding data-led analysis and first principles thinking into decision‑making. By combining quantitative analysis, customer insight and market intelligence, the role provides strategic recommendations that inform National Gas' long‑term business development activities, regulatory positioning, investment decisions, and executive decision‑making.
