Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced geotechnical project manager to plan and oversee ground investigation projects, manage budgets, and lead a small team of site engineers. You will promote its geotechnical service range and work across sites in the Southeast and London region.

The role requires a degree in geotechnics, health and safety qualifications, and a UK driving licence. Flexible working options and a strong pension are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in geotechnical discipline.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• 5–8 years industry experience.
• Minimum 1 year in project management.
• Knowledge of ground investigation specs and British Standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage projects and operations within scope.
• Develop and maintain new and existing business with Operations Manager.
• Promote SOCOTEC’s geotechnical services.
• Lead ground investigation projects across Southeast/London area.
• Manage financials from award to completion; compile monthly accounts.
• Supervise site engineers and technicians; mentor staff.
