Job summary

The Rosalind Franklin Institute is seeking a Senior Business Engagement Manager to build and manage strategic industrial relationships and commercial opportunities that leverage the Institute’s science and technology capabilities.

You will work with Challenge Leaders, researchers and external partners to develop collaborative projects, translational programmes and licensing opportunities, contributing to the Institute’s impact across sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in industry partnerships and business development is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management and networking skills.
• Ability to develop and manage collaborative programmes.
• Strategic thinking with ability to translate science into industry opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of strategic industrial relationships aligned with Franklin's priorities.
• Identify and secure new partnership opportunities with companies, innovation organisations and investors.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders across industry, academia and the innovation ecosystem.
• Collaborate with scientific leaders to identify industrial needs and opportunities for collaboration.
• Create account management plans for key industry partners and represent Franklin at events.
• Support preparation of business cases, proposals and funding applications.
