Job summary

Rosalind Franklin Institute seeks a Senior Business Engagement Manager to shape and manage a portfolio of industrial partnerships, translating science into impactful collaborations across biotechnology, AI and engineering sectors.

You will work with researchers and external partners to create translational programs, licensing opportunities and commercialisation pathways, while mentoring colleagues and contributing to engagement strategies across the Institute.

Qualifications

• Experience in building and managing industrial partnership portfolios.
• Ability to secure new partnership opportunities with companies and research organisations.
• Strong network across industry, academia and the innovation ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Develop a portfolio of strategic industrial relationships aligned to Franklin’s priorities.
• Identify and secure new partnership opportunities with companies, innovation organisations and investors.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders across industry, academia and the innovation ecosystem.
• Develop account management plans for key industry partners.
• Represent Franklin at conferences, industry events and stakeholder meetings.
• Support the generation of income through collaborations, consultancy and partnerships.
• Contribute to development of commercialisation pathways and translational programmes.
