Job summary

Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a Good-rated Secondary School and Sixth Form in Birmingham (B19) seeking an experienced Strategic ICT Manager to lead and transform the school's technology provision. You will own the ICT strategy and oversee infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems management and ICT service delivery to support teaching and operations.

The role offers a long-term opportunity with October 2026 start; you will build a high-performing ICT team, manage budgets and suppliers,

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading ICT infrastructure in education or a similarly complex organisation.
• Strong project management and team leadership experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365, networks, cybersecurity and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the school's ICT strategy in line with improvement priorities.
• Lead, manage and develop the ICT support team to drive excellence.
• Oversee maintenance, development and security of ICT infrastructure.
• Manage networks, servers, cloud services, telephony and end-user devices.
• Lead ICT modernisation projects from planning to completion.
• Ensure systems are secure, scalable, and compliant with legislation.
• Manage cybersecurity, business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
• Oversee ICT budgets, procurement and supplier contracts.
• Build relationships with staff, students, leaders and external partners.
• Ensure ICT services support teaching, learning and operations.
