Morson Group is seeking an Operations Director in Glasgow to provide strategic and operational leadership across HV substation and transmission projects. The role demands a strong background in HV infrastructure, project delivery and senior operations management.

You will work with the senior leadership team and Project Managers to drive operational excellence, improve delivery performance and support business growth. A track record of delivering complex electrical infrastructure is essential.

Qualificações

• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering, Construction or Electrical Engineering.
• Senior management experience in utilities, energy, infrastructure or engineering.
• Professional qualifications in project management, engineering or leadership are advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic leadership and direction across all operational activities relating to HV substation and transmission projects.
• Take overall responsibility for operational performance, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Lead and support Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers and delivery teams across multiple live projects.
• Work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee project programmes, resources, productivity, quality and commercial performance.
• Drive a strong culture of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality excellence.
• Identify operational risks and implement effective solutions to support successful project delivery.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key industry stakeholders.
• Support business growth through client engagement, operational improvements and delivery excellence.
• Establish and improve operational processes, systems and reporting structures.
• Mentor and develop operational teams to create a high-performing delivery environment.
• Review project performance data, KPIs and operational reporting to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide leadership in resolving complex project challenges and driving successful outcomes.
