Job summary

YTL UK Group is seeking a senior HR Business Partner to shape and deliver the people strategy across operational and engineering environments. You will partner with senior leaders to advise on organisational design, workforce planning and capability development, while guiding change and ensuring compliant, fair outcomes in complex ER scenarios.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a senior HR Business Partner in complex operational or engineering environments, including Trade Union experience.
• Strong track record in leading organisational transformation and supporting senior leaders through change.
• Confidence influencing and advising Executives and senior operational leaders, with sound judgement and commercial insight.
• Experience managing complex ER matters, particularly within unionised settings.
• Exceptional communication skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to build trust quickly and work collaboratively.
• Curiosity about emerging HR practice, technology and AI, and the ability to apply these in a practical, value‑adding way.
• Broad generalist HR expertise and the ability to engage specialist input when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead transformation activity, supporting operating model changes and culture development.
• Guide leaders on organisational design, workforce planning and capability development.
• Oversee complex employee relations matters in safety‑critical and unionised teams.
• Act as a role model, coaching the People team and promoting data‑driven decisions.
• Champion the effective use of technology, data and AI to improve People services.
• Support Group‑wide initiatives across YTL UK and provide strategic input to senior leaders.
