ARU is seeking a senior HR leader to steer employment policy, strategic employee relations and workforce governance across a diverse university community. Based in Chelmsford, Cambridge or Peterborough with travel across campuses, the role is full-time and influential.

You will lead modern, legally robust employment frameworks supporting ARU’s strategic ambitions in higher education and subsidiary organisations. Strong advisory and data-driven approaches are essential.

Qualificações

• Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, contracts and governance.
• Experience of organisational change, job evaluation and board-level reporting.
• Excellent negotiation, consultation and analytical skills.
• Strategic, commercially aware and solutions-focused with integrity and discretion.

Responsabilidades

• Shape, implement and improve employment policies, contracts and terms.
• Oversee employee relations, collective bargaining and consultation processes.
• Lead change programmes translating law and sector developments into practical solutions.
• Provide executive papers and recommendations for governance bodies.
• Oversee pay and pensions policy, grading arrangements and external legal work.
• Coach leaders and HR colleagues using data and benchmarking.
