Job summary

COWI is recruiting a Human Resources Business Partner to partner with our UK&I leaders. Based in Derby or Glasgow, the role blends office and home hybrid working, supporting performance, talent, and employee relations while helping to implement the people strategy across the UK & Ireland.

You will collaborate with senior leaders to enhance capability and engagement. The ideal candidate brings robust HRBP experience, UK employment law knowledge, and outstanding stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Significant HR/People & Organisation Business Partner experience in a complex organisation.
• Extensive knowledge of employee relations and handling complex cases.
• Comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law.
• Ability to interpret people data and provide meaningful business insight.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting acquisitions and integration activities.
• Fully CIPD qualified or chartered member or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Business Partnering: advise leaders on people-related matters and align people priorities with business objectives.
• Leadership Development & Coaching: support onboarding and development of leaders and drive leadership initiatives.
• Talent Management & Succession Planning: participate in talent reviews and succession planning.
• Performance & Employee Experience: guide on performance processes and employee engagement initiatives.
• Employee Relations: manage complex ER matters with risk-based guidance and compliant practices.
• Organisational Change & Integration: support design and change programmes including post-acquisition integration.
• Data, Governance & Compliance: analyse people data and ensure governance and compliance.
