Job summary

James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced HR Manager for a 12-month maternity cover in a manufacturing setting. You will provide strategic and operational HR support, focusing on employee relations, employment law and driving business performance through effective people management.

You will lead the onsite HR team, ensure compliant HR processes, and collaborate with the Site Operational Team on headcount, onboarding and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HR Manager with strategic and operational scope.
• Advising on complex employee relations matters and applying employment law.
• Leading large change projects, including restructures and changes to terms and conditions.
• Experience working with Trade Unions.
• Strong employment law and regulatory knowledge, CIPD Level 5 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR adviser across all management levels.
• Ensure consistent HR processes and compliance with HR policies.
• Partner with Site Operational Team on headcount, retention, recruitment planning and onboarding.
• Oversee learning and development, succession planning and regulatory requirements.
• Lead employee engagement initiatives, union forums and listening groups.
• Monitor compliance KPIs and drive people change projects.
• Manage relationships with external partners including Occupational Health and contractors.
• Develop the onsite HR team and coordinate with wider HR teams.
