Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a part-time People Manager to cover a 10-month maternity leave at Winnersh, Wokingham. The role oversees recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and HR administration on a 16-hour week basis, with flexible patterns.

The position is office-based; strong organisational and commercially aware individuals are preferred, with CIPD qualification advantageous. The role sits within a turnkey factory fit-out specialist serving food, drink and pharmaceutical

Qualifications

• Experience in HR management and/or internal recruitment.
• Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience handling employee relations cases confidently and professionally.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment across office, field, and site-based roles.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
• Act as a trusted HR advisor to managers and employees.
• Support employee relations matters including absence, disciplinary, and grievance processes.
• Maintain compliance with UK employment legislation, GDPR, and HR best practice.
• Coordinate training, development, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Manage HR, recruitment, and training budgets.
• Produce HR metrics and reports to support business decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement across HR processes and systems.
