Job summary

Barfoots of Botley is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join a busy HR Team. You will be the first point of contact for designated Partner departments, delivering a robust HR service and advising on a wide range of issues while ensuring compliance with policies and employment law.

Reporting to the Head of HR, you will build strong partnerships, manage onboarding and leaver processes, and support payroll where required; the role operates in a hybrid environment in the CHICHESTER area.

Qualifications

• Member of CIPD or working towards CIPD Level 5 preferred.
• Up-to-date with employment law and HR best practice.
• Proficient with MS Office and HRIS systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven generalist HR experience in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Form and maintain effective working relationships with Partners to support HR activity.
• Provide guidance on policies and procedures, ensuring consistent approach.
• Advise on employee relations cases in line with policy and law.
• Record, analyse and report HR data to department heads.
• Administer onboarding and leaver processes, including exit interviews.
• Manage maternity and paternity leave in accordance with policy.
• Maintain HRIS records and assist with MI preparation.
• Contribute to HR system improvements and legal updates.
• Lead on HR projects at the direction of Head of HR and assist payroll.
