Job summary

Carrington Blake Recruitment is seeking an experienced HR professional to provide specialist HR advice and support to managers across council services and schools. The role covers complex employee relations, advisory on employment law and policies, and support for workforce changes to ensure fair, compliant HR practices.

You will advise on disciplinary matters, grievances, sickness absence, performance management, and help with casework across hearings, tribunals and appeals as required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR policies.
• Experience advising managers on complex HR matters.
• Experience handling employee relations cases, disciplinaries and grievances.
• Ability to manage confidential information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist HR advice and support to managers across services and schools.
• Support complex employee relations cases, hearings, appeals and tribunal claims.
• Advise on employment law, HR policies and terms of employment.
• Assist with organisational change, redundancies and TUPE transfers.
• Liaise with trade unions and support consultation processes.
• Develop HR policies, training and briefings for managers.
• Analyse workforce data and identify HR interventions.
