Job summary

Orbit Group is seeking an Employment & Skills Lead to drive the Better Days employability and skills programmes across communities. You will conceptualise, prepare, organise and deliver large-scale employment initiatives with strong partnerships and service delivery focus.

The role is based at Orbit offices (Coventry, Kent, Norwich) with travel across the Midlands, the South and East. A driving license and access to a car are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience conceptualising, preparing, organising and delivering large-scale employability programmes.
• Strong ability to build strategic partnerships with external providers and employers.
• Experience coaching, mentoring or leading a team and managing project delivery timescales.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills for internal and external audiences.
• Willingness to travel across the Midlands, the South and the East; driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Orbit’s Better Days employability and skills programmes.
• Oversee budgets across the portfolio and produce impact reports.
• Lead on partnerships, referrals and governance for service delivery.
• Provide strategic direction and subject-matter expertise to colleagues.
