Job summary

NFP People in Southend-on-Sea is seeking an experienced Homelessness Prevention & Resettlement Manager to lead essential services, helping people secure and sustain safe homes. You will oversee rapid resettlement, reconnection and private rented sector pathways with a trauma-informed, person-centred approach.

Working with a dedicated team and partner organisations, you will monitor performance, support staff development and ensure high-quality service delivery while building strong relationships

Qualifications

• Experience in homelessness, housing, resettlement or tenancy sustainment services.
• Experience managing or supervising staff in housing or support services.
• Knowledge of housing legislation, welfare benefits, tenancy rights and private rented sector.
• Experience with case management, safeguarding and complex situations.
• Excellent communication and partnership-building skills.
• Organised, decisive, able to manage competing priorities.
• Person-centred, trauma-informed approach and inclusive practice.
• Level 3 qualification or above desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team delivering homelessness prevention, resettlement and reconnection services.
• Oversee assessments, case management and support plans with trauma-informed approach.
• Develop relationships with landlords, authorities and partners to increase housing opportunities.
• Ensure safeguarding, risk management and crisis intervention.
• Oversee tenancy sustainment support to prevent repeat homelessness.
• Monitor performance, maintain records and identify improvements.
• Foster a positive, supportive working environment and staff development.
