Job summary

Venture Recruitment Partners is supporting a Hampshire-based SME in recruiting a Group Management Accountant in the Southampton area. The role offers visibility to senior leadership, multi-entity reporting, and opportunities to drive process improvements.

You will deliver monthly management accounts, support budgets/forecasts, and partner with operational leaders to enhance financial performance.

Qualifications

Fully qualified accountant with strong management accounting experience in SME environments or equivalent practice background.
Ability to communicate financial information clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Advanced Excel skills and commercial awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

Produce monthly management accounts including P&L and balance sheet with supporting schedules.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls.
Analyse performance against budgets and forecasts and explain variances.
Prepare commentary and management reports for senior stakeholders.
Support budgeting and forecasting and partner with operational leads to improve financial performance.
Assist with year-end audit queries and ad hoc finance projects.
Continuously improve finance processes, controls, and reporting.
