Job summary

Venture Recruitment Partners are partnering with a Hampshire-based SME to appoint a Group Management Accountant. You will join a multi-entity business, delivering financial insight and commercial reporting to senior leadership.

You will report to the Group Financial Controller, delivering management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and business partnering across entities. Strong Excel and professional qualification are essential.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with SME experience or related practice background.
• Excellent communication of financial information to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, schedules).
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial controls.
• Analyse performance against budgets and forecasts; highlight variances.
• Prepare commentary and management reports for senior stakeholders.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes across the group.
• Partner with operational leaders to improve financial performance.
• Assist with year-end audit queries and statutory requirements.
• Deliver ad hoc commercial analysis and finance projects.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting.
