Job summary

Cameron James Professional Recruitment is seeking a Group HR Manager to lead the People function across two UK businesses within a wider international group. Leicester-based, you will shape a future-ready People Strategy for c.300 staff in manufacturing, engineering, assembly and distribution.

You’ll own the full People agenda, drive recruitment, onboarding, career pathways and succession planning, boost employee engagement and coach site leaders.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, engineering or similar operational environments.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and uplift capability.
• Strong operational HR grounding with strategic awareness.
• Experience supporting multi-site or geographically dispersed teams.
• Visible, engaging and commercially minded approach.
• Ability to operate at pace while delivering high-quality HR outcomes.
• Ideally CIPD Level 5 or above.

Responsibilities

• Shaping, implementing and delivering a Group People Strategy across two UK businesses within an international group.
• Uplifting recruitment, attraction and selection with engaging processes.
• Creating structured onboarding and induction to improve early engagement and retention.
• Developing career pathways, succession plans and capability frameworks.
• Leading employee engagement activities and raising HR visibility across sites.
• Coaching and developing managers to strengthen leadership capability.
• Ensuring policies and employment law compliance stay ahead of change.
• Providing hands-on HR support across manufacturing, assembly and multi-site operations.
• Managing two HR Administrators and a Health & Safety Specialist.
• Working with an outsourced HR partner for ER support across the distribution network.
