Canonical is a leading open source software company with a globally distributed workforce and home-based roles in the EMEA time zones. This finance-oriented role focuses on controls, reporting, audits, and policy improvements to support scalable growth.

The position requires IFRS expertise, ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualifications, advanced Excel, and ERP experience. Travel internationally is expected, with potential London office-based collaboration.

Competenze

• Exceptional academic track record at school and university.
• Strong professional qualification in Accounting or Finance (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
• Extensive IFRS knowledge and practical experience.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Confident communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive, analytical mindset focused on process improvement.
• Experience using enterprise accounting or ERP systems.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to two weeks twice a year.

• Understand risks in processes and lead development of mitigating controls.
• Identify improvements to policies and procedures for scalable growth.

• Manage reviews from balance sheet reconciliations to statutory accounts.

• Mentor junior accounting staff and promote best practices.
