Job summary

Morgan McKinley (Milton Keynes) is seeking a Group Financial Controller for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Milton Keynes. You will lead end-to-end operations of a multi-site finance function, reporting to the Finance Director and guiding a team of 25–30 with 4 direct reports.

The role combines strategic leadership, robust financial reporting, governance, and ongoing finance transformation including ERP automation.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACA/ACCA with UK or international recognition.
• Experience leading finance teams in high-volume, multi-site environments.
• Strong knowledge of ERP implementations, digital automation, and data governance.
• Hands-on oversight of AP, AR, payroll, tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Finance Leadership Team across corporate, transactional, data and transformation.
• Oversee consolidated financial reporting, statutory submissions, long-range planning, tax, and working capital.
• Direct high-volume transactional finance across 50+ sites (AP, AR, Cash, Payroll, VAT, PAYE).
• Drive finance change programmes including ERP implementations and reporting automation.
• Oversee treasury, cash forecasting, banking relationships and risk scenario planning.
• Partner with Senior Leadership Team and Board for executive-ready reporting.
