Job summary

Inspire Education Group in Stamford is seeking a Governance & Data Protection (GDPR) Manager to lead information governance, data protection compliance and policy frameworks across the college group. You will work closely with the CFO and Governance Director to ensure policies and procedures remain compliant and fit for purpose, providing specialist guidance across the group.

• Working knowledge of GDPR, data protection legislation and information governance principles.
• Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills, with the ability to prepare reports and analyse information.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, using initiative and discretion when handling confidential information.
• A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, and continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Data Protection & GDPR: Coordinate compliance with data protection legislation, manage information rights requests and oversee personal data breach processes.
• Freedom of Information: Manage FOI and EIR requests, ensuring responses meet statutory deadlines.
• Records & Information Management: Maintain records retention arrangements, information asset registers and secure data disposal processes.
• Governance & Risk: Maintain risk registers, prepare compliance reports and support meetings with senior leaders and governance committees.
• Policy Management: Support the coordination of policy reviews and work with colleagues across the Group to ensure policies remain current, compliant and accessible.
