Job summary

Reed in Partnership is hiring an Operations Finance Business Partner to support the Programme Director and Senior Operations with contracts, finance forecasting and performance analysis. You will build detailed financial models, provide timely management information and guide decision-making in FP&A processes.

The role emphasizes strong accounting credentials, extensive Excel/Power BI use, and a proactive, collaborative approach within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Part or Qualified accountant status and active accounting practice.
• Management accounting experience in private sector environments.
• Strong communication with operational teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to build and maintain detailed forecast models in Excel or similar tools.
• Proven ability to present financial information to non-financial managers.
• Analytical and reporting capabilities with KPI focus.
• Knowledge of Power BI for reporting and dashboards.
• Advanced Excel skills for complex modelling.
• Proactive, self-motivated and agile approach.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Team player with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Business Partnering & Reporting - leverage management accounts to drive performance.
• Enhance financial performance information for Operations.
• Communicate confidently with stakeholders and management teams.
• Maintain rolling forecast models and update timely.
• Build Excel models to support contracts with clear, user-friendly outputs.
• Ensure reports and models are accessible for decision-making.
• Conduct periodic P&L and contract reviews with operational leads.
• Provide cost centre information with variance explanations.
• Drive financial focus and operational efficiency.
• Create reporting tools for new contracts and embed into activities.
• Provide timely financial or forecasting information to customers externally.
• Collaborate with operational leads on resourcing forecasts and commercial models.
• Develop monthly/periodic/long-range forecasts and annual budgets.
• Consolidate up to 200 cost centres and align with FP&A processes.
• Coordinate with Management Accountants to ensure correct consolidation.
• Prepare forecasts and analyze variances with management.
• Communicate forecasting insights to support performance.
