Job summary

Equans is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Business Partner to support divisional reporting across the UK and Group. You will collaborate with the UK FP&A team and senior finance leaders to optimise planning processes, analyse performance, and drive strategic decisions.

You will prepare monthly management reports, challenge performance, and support forecasting activities including the Medium-Term Plan and budget.

Qualifications

• Part qualified with drive to study for accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA).
• Strong financial & commercial acumen.
• Ability to collate Excel data with accuracy and present outputs.
• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong planning & administration skills.
• Able to manage own workload to meet deadlines.
• Open to innovation and new ways of working.
• Proactive problem solving and can-do attitude.
• SAP experience is essential for extracting information from financial models and reports.
• FP&A experience is essential.
• Strong IT skills with ERP knowledge and data visualization tools (Power BI).
• MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality monthly management reports for the Division and Sectors, showing budget achievement and variance analysis.
• Proactively analyse divisional financial performance (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for decision making.
• Support flow of financial information using journals, management accounts, and reporting systems (Excel, SAP, Coupa, BPC).
• Challenge monthly performance during month-end and planning cycles.
• Define, communicate and track KPIs aligned with budget and top management.
• Coordinate between Division and UK FP&A teams.
• Ensure reporting deadlines are met with minimal data errors.
• Assist planning/forecasting activities including MTP, budget and estimates.
• Drive efficient planning/forecasting processes and provide visibility on risks/opportunities.
