Job summary

BDO is seeking a Manager to lead a team, manage client relationships and oversee a portfolio of assignments with a focus on delivering high-quality service. The role involves budget oversight, resource planning and contributing to business development initiatives.

You will work with Directors and Partners to ensure value-driven delivery and cross-functional collaboration across departments within BDO.

Qualifications

ACCA or ACA qualification required or equivalent professional qualification.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Experience using Caseware is preferred.
Excellent knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102, including consolidation work.
Knowledge of IFRS would be advantageous.
Experience managing a portfolio of client assignments and delivering high-quality work.
Previous people management experience with coaching and development capability.
Track record of identifying business development opportunities and generating new client leads.

Responsibilities

Manage the team on a day-to-day basis and build/sustain client relationships.
Oversee a portfolio of clients including fee negotiations, billings and cash collections.
Determine resource requirements and monitor progress against budget/timeframes.
Review work of junior team members and escalate issues to Directors/Partners as needed.
Develop relationships with existing clients and proactively seek new business opportunities for the firm.
