Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong technical financial reporting knowledge
• Experience leading a finance function and supporting Board-level decision-making
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience with cash flow forecasting and working capital management
• Proficiency in VAT, corporation tax and payroll oversight

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and mentor the finance team with cross-training
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes and reporting
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Manage VAT submissions, corporation tax payments and PAYE
• Lead annual audit and statutory accounts preparation
• Develop KPI dashboards and financial reporting for performance analysis
• Oversee rolling five-year forecast and 13-week cash flow forecasting
• Maintain financial controls and risk register
• Support new venture launches, including finance systems implementation
• Provide commercial financial insight to the Board and leadership team
