Michael Page is recruiting a Financial Controller for a fast-moving logistics and supply chain business in Cambridgeshire. You will own day-to-day financial control, produce reliable reporting and partner with the business to drive performance.

The role leads the finance team, applies FRS 102, ensures deadlines, and supports strategic decision-making with robust financial insight. A professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and post-qualification experience are essential.

Qualificações

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification and active membership.
• Post-qualification experience in a busy accounting environment.
• In-depth practical knowledge of FRS 102.
• Strong experience of financial control and financial reporting.
• Ability to review financial information carefully and resolve issues.
• Confidence in managing accounting activities and meeting reporting deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the day-to-day financial control activities for the Accounting & Finance department, ensuring records are complete and reliable.
• Prepare accurate financial reports that give clear visibility of business performance.
• Apply practical knowledge of FRS 102 when producing and reviewing financial information.
• Maintain strong accounting processes to support consistent and timely reporting.
• Review financial data, identify issues and take action to improve accuracy.
• Work closely with relevant colleagues to provide clear financial insight for business decisions.
• Oversee the preparation of financial information for internal use, keeping deadlines on track.
• Ensure accounting activity is carried out in line with recognised financial reporting requirements.
• Lead and develop the finance team, driving performance and continuous improvement
