Job summary

Yeovil College is seeking a Finance Business Partner for Projects and Costings to drive financial strategy and value across major investments. You will shape costing for curriculum programmes, apprenticeships and new activity, building robust models for funding scrutiny.

You will partner with curriculum teams and MIS, challenge assumptions, and steer financial planning and control of large projects from bid to delivery. This is a high-impact role for a commercially minded finance professional.

Qualifications

• Strong experience producing management accounts and turning financial data into meaningful insight.
• Confident in financial planning, forecasting and cash flow management.
• CIMA or ACCA qualified, or part-qualified, with a commitment to continuing your professional development.
• A natural business partner and influencer, able to build relationships, challenge thinking and motivate people at all levels.
• An excellent communicator, able to make complex financial information clear, engaging and accessible to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning and control of major projects from bid to delivery.
• Oversee forecasting, grant claims, capital spend and project accounting.
• Support fixed assets, management accounts and audits.
• Collaborate with curriculum teams and MIS to challenge assumptions and influence planning.
