Job summary

The CFO HQ in Slough is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to lead UK finance operations and drive business performance. You will own the monthly close, management accounts, and robust controls while partnering with senior stakeholders to influence key decisions.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in a Finance Manager or senior accounting role, ACCA/CIMA or Accounting & Finance degree, and experience with Sage 200. Up to £60,000 plus benefits; strong career progression ahead.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a Finance Manager or senior accounting role.
• ACCA, CIMA, or Accounting & Finance degree qualification.
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting expertise.
• Experience with Sage 200 or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Excellent organizational and stakeholder management abilities.
• Hands-on, solutions-focused and independent worker.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the finance team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
• Manage the monthly close process and deliver accurate management accounts.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and maintain robust financial controls.
• Provide meaningful financial analysis, reporting, and performance insights.
• Support annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and working capital requirements.
• Monitor accounts receivable performance and drive collection improvements.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting activities across the business.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Partner with stakeholders to support commercial decision-making.
