Job summary

Lloyd Barnes Recruitment is assisting a Cornwall-based charity in recruiting a Finance Manager to blend hands-on financial management with strategic leadership. The role focuses on ownership of the finance function, advising senior leaders and trustees on financially informed decisions, and strengthening financial controls.

Ideal candidates will be experienced in charity finance, with strong budgeting and forecasting skills, and the ability to influence organisational strategy.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or QBE.
• Strong experience in financial management, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Xero is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations including management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
• Lead financial reporting, year-end accounts and audit processes.
• Maintain robust financial controls and compliance.
• Provide financial insight to support strategic planning, grant funding and sustainability.
