Job summary

CV Screen Ltd is recruiting a full-time Charity Finance Manager for a well-established charity in Cornwall. The role is remote, with a monthly team meeting and quarterly board meetings held in person across Cornwall. You will sit on the Senior Leadership Team and own the charity's finances, from strategy and reporting to day-to-day operations.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant to make a real difference within a small, supportive team. Salary up to £46,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with current finance leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of charity or voluntary sector finance and reporting requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience of accounting software; Xero and Dext would be a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Run the full finance function including payroll, ledgers, invoicing and reconciliations.
• Produce monthly management accounts and present financial papers to the Board and Finance Committee.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling for long-term planning.
• Manage year-end accounts and external audit with statutory reporting deadlines.
• Oversee restricted funds and grant income and ensure spend is tracked.

CV Screen is delighted to be recruiting a full-time Charity Finance Manager on behalf of a well-established, values-driven charity in Cornwall. The salary is up to £46,000. The role is remote, with a monthly team meeting and a quarterly board meeting held in person across Cornwall. You'll sit on the Senior Leadership Team and take ownership of the charity's finances, from strategy and reporting to day-to-day operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to make a real difference within a small, supportive team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Run the full finance function, covering payroll, purchase and sales ledgers, invoicing and reconciliations
• Produce monthly management accounts and present financial papers to the Board of Trustees and Finance Committee
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling to support long-term planning and sustainability
• Manage the year-end accounts and external audit, making sure statutory and charity reporting deadlines are met
• Oversee restricted funds and grant income, making sure spend is accurately tracked and reclaimed

What Experience is Required

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with current finance leadership experience
• A strong understanding of charity or voluntary sector finance and its reporting requirements
• Advanced Excel skills and experience of accounting software; Xero and Dext would be a bonus

Salary & Benefits

The salary is up to £46,000, depending on experience, for this full-time position. Benefits include remote working and a seat on the Senior Leadership Team. You'll also be working for an inclusive employer that is committed to staff development.
