Job summary

• Holds an accounting qualification (CIMA / ACA / CA / etc.).
• Proven experience in financial management, budgeting and reporting.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and long-/short-term balance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance of financial reporting to standards.
• Report financial results to Group Finance, Divisional Finance and Senior Director.
• Explain variances to short-term, half and full-year forecasts.
• Maintain a strong governance culture and control environment.
• Establish and develop procedures to deliver best practice and effective controls.
• Lead continuous improvement and drive efficiency.
• Assist with year-end external audit and prepare year-end financial statements under FRS.
• Lead ONS surveys and other government reporting requirements.
• Implement Group KPIs and monitor performance against targets.
• Provide training and coaching to finance team and foster development.
• Oversee budget process and align with group/divisional goals.
